For Arsenal, this season belief has played as much a part in their impressive start as anything else. That new ethos at the club could be traced back to the record £42.4 million signing of Mesut Ozil on transfer deadline day. It was a transfer that reassured everyone at Arsenal that they still held a position in the European elite and could still operate at the very top of the market.
